Forever searching...

I have a list of things that I have been hunting for quite a while... If you have any feedback or suggestions on them, please let me know STAT, b/c .... I haven't found them for myself yet. Still searching.

I am looking for the perfect:
  • handbag/clutch/purse/satchel - all of these rolled into one, basically...requirements are: something that is comfortable and able to go over my shoulder messenger bag style, or w/ just an arm strap that will actually stay up (but I prefer the over the shoulder), that is big enough to fit all my stuff in, but not so big that I can't carry it around for a purse (I have a great bag now, but it's definitely a briefcase/schoolbag, not a purse), AND has pockets/compartments enough that my stuff doesn't get lost and then also can look professional enough to bring to work. That's not a whole lot to ask, is it?
  • wallet - the one I have now is pretty good, but it's that fake plastic-y alligator skin, so that's wearing out
  • electronic address book for free - all the ones I've tried so far have just not been up to par
  • desk - I really like the Ikea one that goes into the corner, but I'm afraid it won't fit into the space I have.... basically I need something with a huge hutch w/ lots of shelving space on it
Feel free to spam me with your ideas.

Oh, yeah, a title

So...
yes. I'm here. I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that I really am not the blogger that I think I am in my head. I am always coming up with random factoid blog posts in my head, paragraphs upon paragraphs even. And then I get home, and busy gaming and babysitting and dinner and homework and husband and it all totally goes to hell out the window. I guess I just have too much that I always want to do, and not enough time to do it. I think I recently saw Julie say something on her status update about 24 hours not being enough, and I have to say I heartily agree. I wish I didn't have to sleep! I am, however, getting slowly and surely better about managing my time. It is definitely a slow slow process though. I like to game too much. I have a plethora of other time-sucks too, such as a gazillion (really, no joke) newsletters & sites that I try to keep up with to 'keep on top of things', plus facebook and myspace (though have totally tamed these two! I just have to remind myself once in a while about them). It's a slow process, but definitely going!

Quick update (not listed in any particular order):
  • I know it's a time waster, but I enjoy it too much to completely cut it out: My main toon on WoW is now up to 63! And I have several others that are up and coming, woot!
  • I am learning to sew. Haven't got too far yet, but hey, I do what I can. I have made Jaemin a dress so far, and even attempted a pattern adjustment. That didn't fly too well, but live & learn, eh?
  • I am making headway in my schooling. Next month I start back & actually have my first web-related class. WOOHOO!
  • I have been on an AWESOME mom-support board, thanks to Jess. I LOVE IT!
  • Josh graduates in May. MAY! 5 short months away.
  • We actually have money in our savings account...for the first time. EVER. I think congratulations are in order! Thanks to Josh, who has been willing to go the extra [several] mile(s).
  • Jaemin has...8ish teeth now. I think one more is about to pop through though, so could be 9 tomorrow.
  • And the coolest highlight to date (as of today): Joshua pooped on the toilet by himself today.
I hope to keep this up better, but don't hold your breath.

Oops, it's been a whole month!

I just realized this. Things have been busy, "that's why", as my son would say. He's been tagging "that's why" onto everything lately. It's quite adorable.

We're making gigantic strides in potty training. Still lots of accidents, but a much higher level of willingness, and even some completely dry days as well!

Jaemin is walking everywhere, sometimes close to running even (especially when she knows she has something she's not supposed to). She also has a 5th tooth in.

School is going well. My design class that I started off being so intimidated by has turned out to be not so intimidating after all, when I've gotten down to it. Now if I can just keep up with 'class participation' I should be making an A.

DH is going away this weekend to a soccer tournament. One of his last...I think he's sad about it, but honestly I'm ready for him to be done with it, or at least just play games 2 or 3 nights a week with a league, instead of a daily practice + games.

Mom, Julie, Jess, & Emma all pitched in to buy an hour of massage-bliss for me. All I have to say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU and God bless you all!

Not much going on...

Hey not much going on, so I'll just list it out:

  • School is being manageable. Almost to the end of the session, already! It ends on the 27th, and then I actually have my first break. Yay!
  • The kids keep on getting cuter and more rambunctious. Joshy says he has a girlfriend now. At THREE years old!
  • My Night Elf Hunter on WoW made it to Level 50.
  • I am close to having seam-ripped the entire first project. I hope the second time around will be much better. Practice=perfect.
  • Higher Ground's 1st year birthday celebration is this Sunday! If you're interested, come on out! Should be a nice birthday 'party'.

I'll post more news as it comes.

Night Owl

So, even though it's killing me during the day, I am becoming quite a night owl again. I have a love/hate relationship with staying up late now, though. I really quite miss staying up late. I like to do it even. But having a day job does not mix well with night life. Nor does having early-bird kiddos. *sniffsob* Trying to find a happy medium. Unsuccessfully, thus far. More updates on this in the near future.

In the mean time, check out my Plurk. Different from Twitter. Better. Actually works too. Haven't experienced any breakdowns yet. I still Twitter too, just not as frequently as Plurk. Anyway, good times, check it out.

Something of non-consequence.

I love Karen. ☺ She cracks me up!

Hallo. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

So I went to my first rapier practice tonight... I LOVED IT! I am very awkward and there is sooo much to learn, but it was uber fun. I am definitely going back next week! (THANKS CHELS! ^_^) Eventually I hope to be able to fight and win even... but right now I'll just go for remembering to have my feet pointed the right way, and keeping myself in the right stance. And not getting huge welts on my boobs. Those are the goals.

Hot Sewing Mama Divas Unite!

Sooo, my dear friend Jess has got me really excited about sewing. Who would have thought...but it has such potential, I can hardly stand it. I am not very good yet, but I just started a couple days ago and I have seen improvement already. I have faith that I will get better with practice. I have been browsing the Diaper Sewing Diva boards, and I'm amazed at what people make, all the time. It is quite inspiring! I will post pictures once I have a completed project. :D

PS - A BIG THANKS to my dear sister for letting me borrow one of her machines.

Ah, lunch...

Well, today I am taking a break during lunch. For the last half of lunch I may read. I haven't decided yet. But I am taking the time to just sit back and listen to good ol' Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix.

Annoying you say. Profitable I say.

I know it was a pain in the behind, me switching addresses. Sorry. My humblest apologies, really. But I have already made a whopping 38¢ so far. Not the biggest deal in the world. But that's still change. I'll still take it. Maybe I'll make more as I go.

So there.

Fight Club

I had fight club last night. That is what my church calls cell groups. I've also heard them called home groups. I really like them. What was so cool about last night is that we had some new people from other fight clubs come to check us out. I don't know if they were just visiting for ideas, or considering attending. It was nice to see them, either way! I really like going to fight club. Half the time I'm in and out because of the kids (yup, they come along), but I love to visit with them, and discuss and study with them too. It has really helped me to gain ownership of my church. I think that is something that I have really struggled with since we've left the Army. But huzzah, getting over that. Fight club has really helped me to feel connected! Now I just have to find a good way that I can consistently serve. I don't know what that is yet though. It's hard to do a lot with the kids at their age... I can always work in the nursery, or with Joshy's age kids, but that means missing church - and though I like helping out, I feel like I need church too! I just discovered that Erik (my pastor) has put his sermons up on a podcast. Maybe that solves that problem. We'll see! TTFN, friends.

connecting through video

I'm talking with my dad right now on Skype right now. It's a really cool program! We're video conferencing. So even though he's in Vegas, he seems not so far away. It's really nice, now that they live 20 hours away. It's good for them to see the kids, and nice for them to just see our faces. And same for us! I prefer this to chat now most of the time, if available and I'm not busy. And also to phone too. It's lovely.

Hellatired

I am having a devil of a time concentrating today. It's 3 o'clock, nearly time for me to go home. I am in school now, did I mention that? Well I can feel that it's taking its toll on me. And I am willingly subscribing to that toll. It's worth it! There are no complaints here. But it's driving me batty right now when I'm waiting for the day to end, and my eyelids are so incredibly droopy and the clock just refuses to budge. I took a 15 min. nap during lunch. It's one of the advantages of having my own office. I just close the door, set my alarm & then open it again when it's time to get busy again.

...maybe I'll go to bed early tonight.

Yeah, right.

new starts

Quick update - I was posting on another address, but my Adsense email got lost or something and couldn't figure out how to send another one, so I closed that one up and started this one so I could take advantage of all that.

Will post more very soon!
